CORTEN canopy.

In the square in Rožnov, we roofed the staircase and cladding of the window spars.

CORTEN for modern architecture.

This type of steel is becoming increasingly popular in modern architecture. It has a characteristic brown to rusty patina that creates a natural appearance. It is weather-resistant and has a long service life, making it an ideal material.

Design work and technological solutions.

The architects prepared the design of the solution and we took care of its production. The canopy is mounted on steel support profiles, which we installed in the core holes drilled in the masonry of the building. We had to assess whether the proposed technological solution was structurally acceptable for this building.

Production and assembly.

We used laser forming and CNC bending to produce the corten cladding. Each individual part had pre-prepared holes in it for subsequent riveting of the sheets with stainless steel rivets.

The canopy has a specially designed composition and is equipped with gutter locks. To reduce the noise generated when rainwater hits the sheet metal, we filled the cavity with insulator and board.

On the newly reconstructed building in Masaryk Square in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, the architects proposed installing an outdoor staircase canopy made of corten sheet metal. STINN carried it out professionally and to our full satisfaction. The canopy became an interesting animating element.
